WEEK/LIFE UPDATE!! I absolutely love writing these types of posts because I get to talk about me, myself & I but not sound too selfish. No planning involved (except certain topics) and I get to sit at my computer and just write. My favorite type of writing day!!
I’m giving a little update on my life…
Since graduation…I am in that scary process of finding a job after grad. YIKES. Every day, I’m scouring the job boards left and right. And all that I’m doing is waiting. It seems like all I’m doing right now is waiting. It sucks. It really does. If you’ve graduated like me, please let me know in the comments that you’re feeling this same way. And if you’ve already gotten a job, please still let me know how you did it.
But enough about that. Honestly, it’s tiring talking about what kinds of jobs I want. I know what types of jobs I want, where I want to be in five years and even where I see this blog going.
But you wanna know something even scarier than the job hunt process?
Devoting your life to God.
YEP, I said it. Hey YOU, stop scrolling so you can exit out of this post. Don’t go back to sleep, don’t go back to Twitter or wherever you got this post from. I want you to know something. And it’s good. I want you to know this juicy secret that I’ve been dying to share: God’s got you.
I’m in a new relationship…
WHOA. Isn’t that neat?! There are a gazillion people on this planet and he’s there for every. single. person. But it’s true! God has your back. He even sent his only son to DIE on the cross for us — to save our sins.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” -John 3:16 KJV
That’s something to think about next time you’re doubting yourself because you didn’t get your dream job. Honestly, since you didn’t get your dream job at your dream company in your dream city (idk your dreams!!), it’s not your fault. Honestly, it’s no one’s fault. It’s just not a part of God’s plan. God has a plan for you. Stop trying to manipulate his plan into what you think you want for yourself.
There’s nothing on Netflix…
I’ve been watching old YouTube videos. I ran out of shows to binge on Netflix, so I’ve been catching up on short, catchy lifestyle videos. And one channel I just can’t stop watching is Jordan Lee Dooley. Honestly, that woman is always so positive I don’t know how she does it! But she talks about purpose, passion, and friendship all from a woman of God’s perspective. She helps women find their purpose in God’s eyes. She truly is a servant of God, fulfilling God’s mission for her.
And that’s what I want for myself. Not a 9-5 desk job, but to help inspire others. To inspire young women like me into helping them believe that they can achieve anything, that they are extraordinary.
