I like to share quotes on my Insta story like the basic bitch I am. I love pinning quotes and vibes to my good vibes Pinterest board just because it empowers me. Looking at these quotes in the morning is the perfect way to start the day.
“Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire”
Everything will be so good so soon—just hang in there and don’t worry about it too much.
“Destiny is for losers. It’s just a stupid excuse to wait for things to happen instead of making things happen.” –Blair Waldorf
Sooo I’m a firm believer in YOU can make your own path. Don’t let anyone else make a choice for you. If you want to do something, then you should do it! Ten years down the line, are you going to let people make your choices for you? Even if you’re married with kids, are you really going to let your husband decide what kind of pizza you want? Girl, choose for yourself. Make life happen for yourself.
“Nothing is impossible, the word itself says “I’m possible’!” –Audrey Hepburn
When I started this blog, I was afraid I was going to lose it. I was terrified of all the things that could go wrong and that’s what kept me from starting a blog for a really long time. I thought it was impossible. I saw other successful bloggers starting and maintaining their blogs and I thought I couldn’t do it. And truth be told, I’m still scared. But really, according to Audrey, nothing is impossible.
“I stopped letting boys define me and I started believing in myself.” –Brooke Davis
*Claps claps claps* Stop crying over that man who just broke your heart and listens to this badass quote. Stop wondering when that man will ever text you back because you need to focus. On. Yourself. I will say I know girls who jump from relationship to relationship—and I’m happy for them—but you can’t be 100% happy if you’re not alone for at least some periods of time. Being alone can be scary but it gives you more time to think about what YOU want.
“People are gonna label you. It’s how you overcome those labels, that’s what matters.” –Brooke Davis
Listen, high school was one of the worst experiences. It wasn’t bad for me—I wasn’t bullied. But I was…invisible. I had a group of friends whom I hung out with, but I didn’t have that “squad” I have now in high school. I felt invisible, I felt powerless, I felt like no one paid any attention to little ole me. But I got to see all of the people who were bullied. And it surprised me. My high school claimed that everyone was nice to each other but that’s the thing. If someone does something that’s out of the ordinary, they get pushed to the outside and get called “weird.” If a girl sleeps around, she’s a slut. If a girl knows what she wants and is passionate, then she’s a bitch. Whatever people may call you, you have to let it roll off your back. Don’t let others define you. I’ve stopped worrying about what other people think of me and I’ve become so much happier.
“The moments that make life worth living are when things are at their worst and find a way to laugh.” –Amy Schumer
This. Laugh when life is hard. It makes life so much easier.
“You need to be cool to be queen. Anne Boleyn thought only with her heart and she got her head chopped off.” –Blair Waldorf
Keep your heart and mind in check. If you’re thinking you’re having a bad day, do not cry on the bus. (I mean, if you need to, just go ahead.) If you’re in a fight with your BFF, then keep your cool. Nothing is worse than losing your shit. I don’t really like “drama” or whatever fifth-grade shit that is, but when it flies by my head, I learn to bite my tongue, let it roll off my back, and just keep on walking. Anne Boleyn thought with her heart and she got her head chopped off—one of my favorite, most iconic Blair Waldorf lines.
